Description
Strelitzia nicolai, also known as the White Bird of Paradise, is a striking indoor plant admired for its large, banana-like leaves and tropical presence. Native to the coastal regions of South Africa, it brings an elegant, exotic touch to modern interiors, hotels, and spacious living areas.
Its broad, glossy leaves grow in a fan-like arrangement, creating a lush, architectural statement even without flowers. Though blooming indoors is rare, the dramatic foliage alone makes it a true centerpiece.
Care: Place in bright, indirect light with a few hours of direct sun if possible. Keep the soil lightly moist but avoid waterlogging. A well-draining, nutrient-rich mix is ideal. Feed with a balanced houseplant fertilizer every 2–3 weeks during the growing season.
