Meet Avril Paul
Avril Paul is the founder of AVYNESS, an interior & art advisory practice shaped by a strong visual sensibility and a background in fashion and image-making.
Before moving into interiors, she worked as a makeup artist and stylist across television and editorial productions — developing a refined understanding of composition, light, colour and detail.
This perspective continues to define her work today.
Rather than approaching interiors as decoration, Avril reads spaces as compositions — balancing materials, objects and artworks to create environments that feel considered, layered and quietly distinctive.
“For me, a space is never just a place. It has the ability to influence how we feel, how we move and how we experience our surroundings. Through colour, light, proportion, art and objects, a room can create calm or energy, intimacy or openness — it can shift a mood, evoke a memory and change the way we feel within it.”
Approaching each space with a cinematic eye, her work moves between clarity and intuition, combining a structured perspective with a sensitivity for atmosphere.
