FROM MODERN TO COLLECTED

The earlier Spatial Studies explored a more art-driven and modern language working with strong architectural forms, material contrasts and the relationship between art, object and space.

This next series moves into a more layered world. Heritage, ornament, pattern and pieces from different periods begin to meet, while the approach remains the same: looking at a space through a cinematic eye and considering not only how it is furnished, but how it feels, unfolds and tells a story.
Rather than following one particular style, these studies explore different ways of creating atmosphere. From restrained modernism to richly collected interiors.

MODERN MAXIMALISM TO NEO-BAROQUE

Modern Maximalism and Neo-Baroque share a certain confidence: a willingness to work with colour, pattern, art and objects without reducing a space to a single visual language.
As the studies move towards Neo-Baroque, the atmosphere becomes richer and more theatrical. Classical architecture, ornament, sculptural forms, saturated colour, antiques and decorative objects introduce a sense of history and drama, balanced by contemporary art, modernist furniture and unexpected elements.

This is not about recreating a period interior. Heritage becomes a foundation rather than a rule. Pieces from different decades and origins are brought together intuitively, allowing contrasts to remain visible rather than smoothing them away.

Through a cinematic eye, light and shadow, scale, texture and colour become part of the narrative. A room can feel dramatic without becoming heavy, opulent without becoming overly formal, and layered without becoming cluttered.

The intention is to create interiors that feel as though they have evolved over time. They are collected rather than furnished, personal rather than prescribed.
