I’ve always been fascinated by interiors.

Long before AVYNESS, before the showroom, and before I ever imagined representing a textile brand, I found myself drawn to spaces that tell stories through colour, texture and carefully chosen objects.

During Covid, when travelling suddenly became impossible, many of us began bringing nature into our homes. Rare plants, botanical interiors and collected pieces became more than decoration, they became a way of creating beauty within the spaces we inhabited every day.

My background in hair & make-up for photography, film and live productions had already taught me to embrace colour, texture, pattern and composition instinctively. Over time, those influences evolved into a visual language of my own.

Then, during one of my trips to Cape Town, something unexpected happened.

While visiting a small boutique, I came across a velvet cushion by Hayward & Haines.

It wasn’t simply beautiful. It resonated with everything I loved about interiors.

The expressive botanicals, the fearless use of colour and the balance between maximalism and restraint.

I immediately bought the cushion cover.

Back in Germany, my velvet cushion found its place on one of my vintage Peacock Chairs.

Whether in my Cape Town home or in Germany, the feeling was always the same.

It simply belonged.

At that point, I knew I had to find out who was behind these designs.

That’s how I discovered Julie Hayward and Sarah Haines.

As I explored their work, I discovered that they were open to international stockists.

So, I reached out.

What began as a simple email gradually evolved into something truly meaningful.

I started by investing in a small selection of samples. Then came another collection, more conversations, more ideas, and here we are today.

What started as admiration gradually turned into partnership.

I love the process of growing alongside a brand, discovering each collection and getting to know every detail.
